Flippaball is an exciting water sport that is open to Year 4-6 students. Games are to be played at the H20 every Tuesday. Due to the maintenance work at H2O, a shortened season of Flippaball will take place. The Flippaball league plays for 9 weeks from 18 September until 27 November. Games are played between 3:30-5pm.
It is a fun and dynamic water sport that encourages team play, swimming skills and supports students in developing their throwing and catching techniques. Students interested in entering in our Flippaball teams need to have confidence in the water and be able to swim confidently.
We need a committed parent/s to manage and coach our teams. This involves subbing the players and coaching the students. Without this support, we cannot enter teams into the competition. We will arrange for a couple of practices at H20 to support our teams with some basic Flippaball skills but for the most part, there will be no practice times.
The school will continue to subsidise school sports teams through our Kiwisport fund, meaning there is a cost of $17 to play for Terms 3 and 4. Included in this price is a free swim for students either before or after their games.
Entries are taken on a first come, first in basis. Please complete the form below and advise your payment method of the $17 entry fee by Wednesday 29th August. Entry forms will not be accepted after this date.
