2017 Fundraising Team Focus

Upper Hutt School’s fundraising focus this year is for the development of outdoor learning spaces. Children learn inside and outside the classroom and we want to develop outdoor spaces that excite, that calm, and encourage different types of play and exploration, for example an amphitheater, quiet spaces, vibrant gardens and sun shades while using a variety of materials, art and plants.

Family Fun Fiesta 2017
Our Family Fun Fiesta was held on a beautiful spring day (after days of rain!). Our school grounds were filled with family entertainment, colourful school stalls, community promotional groups, and fun activities for the children. We estimated several thousand people from our wider community attended our event. Everywhere you looked, there were smiling faces. The event had a great family atmosphere.

  • Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser

    Every Term. Date to be confirmed.

  • The Great Kingsley Heights Fun Run

    Held in Term One, a great challenge for the children, and successful event.

  • Quiz Night

    Held in Term Two at the Cossie Club, much fun for our school community.

  • Pita Pit School Lunches

    We offer Pita Pit lunch each Friday, with www.LunchOnLine.co.nz

  • School Disco

    A fun night for all was on Friday 30th June 2017.

  • Entertainment Book

    Thank you for purchasing your Entertainment Book with us, we receive $13 for every book that was ordered.

  • Upper Hutt School Family Fun Fiesta

    Was 23 September 2017, this was such a successful event.

  • Children's Calendar Art

    You can purchase your child’s calendar art, orders closed 29 September 2017.

The Upper Hutt Fundraising team is made up of parents and supporters from the school who raise funds to enrich our school environment. 

The Team meets twice a term, in the staffroom at 6:30pm.   We are  a focussed friendly group, who work alongside the principal to purchase items for your children that are carefully selected by the school staff.

New Team members are always very welcome, and we appreciate that the level of involvement from each member is always dependent on the individual’s personal, family and work commitments and that this will alter from time to time.  We all bring many attributes and skills to the team which enables us to achieve fantastic results for our school.  If you are interested in joining our Team please do speak to one of our Members (we are listed below), or please come along to our next meeting to find out more information and see what works for you. 

Alternatively, you may wish to become a Friend of the Team and support us by volunteering an hour or two to assist at the fundraising events we have organised.  We are always appreciative of any extra help!  If so, please contact one of the Team or email us at fundraisingteam@upperhuttschool.nz with your contact details
